McCall ductwork and unit reconfiguration

This customer had a long saga of failures by his previous hvac company. First they sold him a Bosch M18 package unit and during the install made quite a few bad choices with the duct work and caused 1.5" of static pressure which over 5 years caused the failure of the blower motor and compressor, they also did such a poor job on the duct work that they did not have airflow to half the house. They even told him the duct work was not fixable since he had a flat roof, then proceeded to sell him a minisplit for that half of the house. Ultimately that unit lost another compressor , so the previous contractor sold him another new Bosch M18 unit. 6 months after the install of the 3rd new system on his house in 5 years he was "tuckered out" with that contractor and called Gray Goat Air at the recommendation of the technician at that previous company. We quickly diagnosed the cause of his failures and we designed a new duct system and a plan to utilize both the horizontal and downshot duct connections on his Bosch M18 unit. We cut into the roof foam and removed all the above roof ducting and relocated the unit onto a new taller stand with a skirt, and replaced the poorly designed supply ducting to the other side of the house, added a additional return duct and Bar type grille in the living room, replaced the original bar style grille, We also installed new Air Ranger polarized media electronic air cleaners(PMAC) in the 2 new returns, and had all the modifications spray foamed for both external sealing and for insulating the duct work. Mr. McCall was extremely happy that for the first time in at least 6 years he has cold air in his kitchen.
